This is not a commercial website, just the result of one guy who has an Internet connection and probably too much time on his hands! There is advertising on the website that will hopefully offset the costs of leaving this server running. NotASearchEngine.com searches several thousand news sources on the Internet and displays any current news it finds that matches your queries.
The source of the feed is always prominently displayed. If the publisher includes a graphic in their feed it will be displayed along with the published text from the feed. If no graphic is included at the time the feed is polled, then an attempt is made to screenshot the publisher's homepage. Should that fail then a graphic is created that simply displays the title of their site from information in their feed.
The results can then be bookmarked, added to your favorite news reader, or added to your Live Bookmarks so that you can always stay informed on your favorite topics. This should be beneficial to the publishers by directing more visitors to their content and beneficial to you by allowing you to focus on just the news you wish to read.
